Local product Stott named Phillies’ top minor leaguer
The Philadelphia Phillies named infielder Bryson Stott, who played at UNLV and Desert Oasis High School, their minor player of the year. Before Friday, the 23-year-old was hitting .294 with 26 doubles, 15 home runs, 46 RBIS, nine steals and an .874 OPS between High-a Jersey Shore in Lakewood,
New Jersey, and Double-a Reading (Pennsylvania). The Phillies selected him 14th overall in the 2019 draft.
