■ Astros 4, Diamondbacks 3: At Houston, Chas Mccormick was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to force in the winning run in Houston’s two-run 10th, sending Arizona to its 100th loss.
■ Cardinals 8, Padres 2: At St. Louis, Dylan Carlson hit a grand slam and a solo home run, and Miles Mikolas (1-2) pitched 5⅔ shutout innings for his first win in two years.
■ Brewers 8, Cubs 5: At Milwaukee, Kolten Wong hit a tiebreaking RBI single with two outs in Milwaukee’s four-run eighth. Chicago has lost 10 straight to the Brewers.
