MAGNOLIA JOY MESERVY

Magnolia Joy Meservy, 2 ½ years old, the beloved youngest child of Joseph Robert Meservy and Julia Katherine Sears Meservy, died Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at her home from incidents attendant to an incurable brain and spinal tumor. Maggie showed, and by her example taught, the immense importance of patience and love during 20 months of illness. We are grateful she allowed any friend or family to hold and love her. She enjoyed The Beatles music, the sound of her siblings playing around her, and animal noises. As the many challenges of a failing body overtook her, she remained strong, and when given respite, ready to laugh. Her parents and siblings, with her, lived “...by longsuffering, by gentleness and meekness, and by love unfeigned. Las Vegas Stake, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints cared extensively for Magnolia and her family, as did her loving doctors, nurses, and physical therapists. Great love was given by school teachers and Maggie’s extended family and friends. Her family has learned that Heavenly Father’s love is real and many of His angels live in Las Vegas. “I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.” D&C 84:88. Funeral services will be tomorrow, September 18, at 9:30 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6100 Alta Drive, LV 89107. A graveside service will be held immediately before internment Tuesday, September 21, 3 p.m, in the Salem, Utah City Cemetery.
