Laurence James Marcus Venzon, A.K.A. Bud The Fireman, was raised in the small coal mining town of Jerome, PA by his parents Tony and Katheryn Venzon. His dad was a National League baseball umpire. He umped 3 World Series and 2 All Star games. Bud is a retired Clark County Firefighte­r. A job he was dedicated to and loved for the rest of his life. He loved airplanes. He was a jet fighter mechanic working on the F-105 Thunderchi­ef during the Vietnam War. Then he went to work for Pan American World Airways at the NV Test Site building nuclear rockets for space travel. Bud looked forward to going to his cabin in Swains Creek, UT. His favorite saying was, “I can’t wait for tomorrow”. Bud is survived by his daughter, Carrie Bradshaw and son, Mark Wagenhoffe­r, his friends and his Fire Department family.
