WILLIAM DOW CLEEK
William Dow Cleek, 84, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on September 14, 2021 from a sudden heart attack. He was born in Drum-right, Oklahoma on May 23rd, 1937. He graduated high school from Skiatook, Oklahoma in 1955 and played basketball and trombone in the band. He attended Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, and worked at Federal National Bank. After serving in the Army for a brief time he moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1962. He worked at the Thunderbird
Hotel in the casino cage. He then worked at the Sahara Hotel Las Vegas and was promoted to Vice President of Marketing. He later transferred to the Lake Tahoe, Sahara. Bill married
Barbara in 1967 and raised 3 daughters. They moved to Oklahoma and opened the Fox and Horn, The Wine Cellar and Teddy Limpsky’s restaurants with great success. In 1977 Bill became the Vice President and President of Casino Marketing of the Frontier Hotel. Bill was responsible for bringing the first National Finals Rodeo to Las Vegas. In 1981 he moved to the Las Vegas Hilton as Vice President of Marketing. He then worked at the Golden Nugget as Vice President of Casino marketing. In 1991 he moved to Atlantic City and worked as Vice President of Marketing at the Taj Mahal. In 1996 he moved back to Las Vegas and worked at the Monte Carlo and retired from the casino business in 2000. He is survived by daughters, Christy Molasky, Jolie Schlossberg, and Stephanie Pearson
King; sons-in-law, Alan Molasky, Jason Schlossberg and Dave King; grandchildren, Jess Alan Molasky, Josie Rose Molasky, Logan Anne Schlossberg, Tatum Dow Schlossberg, Peyton Michael Schlossberg, Quinton William Pearson and Addison Elaine Velardi; siblings, John
Cleek, Dortha Cahill, Mary Crawford and Margaret Gilley; ex-wife Barbara Marikos; nieces and nephews, as well as extended family. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 23,
2021, at Kind David Memorial Chapel,
