Wendell Lloyd Broussard was born inst. martin ville, Louisiana on August 25,1940 and died on October 18, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wendell was called many different things by many people in his life: a friend, a father, a husband, a brother, "the Dean", Din and Bruce. He touched so many people in his lifetime and made an impression that will not soon be forgotten. In 1961, he made a short stop to Las Vegas after leaving the Marine Corps to visit a friend and never left. He spent 57 years as a dealer in Las Vegas with 47 years at Caesar's Palace where he never met a stranger. He met, married and built a family with the love of his life, Carmen Moran Broussard. As a family, they traveled, enjoyed the outdoors in all seasons by skiing, running 5ks, golfing and camping. In the mid 1970's, he discovered a new passion- rock climbing. Through the sport, he met lifelong friends, mentored new climbers and experience­d wonderful adventures. Wendell will be remembered by all who knew him as loyal, a straight shooter, generous in sharing his knowledge and passion as well as a wonderful storytelle­r. Wendell was preceded in death by Carmen Moran Broussard in 2006. He is survived by his three sons: Shane, Randall and Eric Broussard; his grandchild­ren: Isabella and Jared and five siblings: Marion Broussard Melancon, Robert (Bob) Broussard, Wilbert (Pert) Broussard, James Broussard and Jackie Champagne Stephens. A celebratio­n of life will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in Blue Diamond.
