Browns QB Mayfield, WR Landry off COVID-19 list

Quarterback Baker Mayfield and wide receiver Jarvis Landry were among five Cleveland players activated from the reserve/covid-19 list. Mayfield, sidelined since testing positive for the virus Dec. 15 and missing the Browns’ Week 15 loss to the Raiders, is expected to start Saturday, coach Kevin Stefanski said. Also, kicker Chase Mclaughlin was placed on the virus list, and rookie Chris Naggar was elevated from the practice squad to kick Saturday.

■ Bears: Quarterback Nick Foles will start Sunday, coach Matt Nagy said. Rookie QB Justin Fields (questionable, ankle) didn’t practice Thursday or Friday, and QB Andy Dalton (groin) was ruled out. Foles started seven games for Chicago last season but hasn’t played since Week 10 of 2020.

■ Ravens: Quarterbacks Lamar Jackson (ankle) and Tyler Huntley (NON-COVID illness) are questionable for Sunday. Jackson, sidelined in Week 15, did not practice all week, and

Huntley didn’t practice Friday. Huntley is expected to start Sunday, NFL Network reported.

■ Jaguars: Defensive end Josh Allen, wide receiver Laviska Shenault and guard Ben Bartsch were placed on the reserve/covid-19 list. Allen, who tested positive, is unvaccinated and expected to be sidelined two games.

■ Bills: Wide receiver Gabriel Davis and guard Cody Ford were placed on the reserve/covid-19 list, and special teams coordinator Heath Farwell and defensive line coach Eric Washington are in virus protocol.

■ Patriots: Centennial product Rhamondre Stevenson tested positive for COVID-19 and was ruled out for Sunday, and fellow running back Damien Harris (hamstring) — sidelined in Week 15 — is questionable.

■ Packers: Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark was activated from the reserve/covid-19 list after being sidelined in Week 15, and linebacker Chauncey Rivers was placed on the list.

■ Eagles: Running back Miles Sanders (quadriceps), who didn’t practice all week, has no injury designation for Sunday.
