Eriksson Ek, Wild dominate Capitals

WASHINGTON — Joel Eriksson Ek scored his careerbest 20th and 21st goals of the season and had an assist as Minnesota beat Washington 5-1 on Sunday.

Marcus Foligno built on one career high with his 20th goal and set another with his 16th assist as the Wild (43-20-5) moved to 9-0-1 in their past 10 games.

Jordan Greenway had three assists, and Cam Talbot stopped 25 shots for Minnesota, which improved to 14-0-1 against Metropolit­an Division teams and moved five points ahead of third-place St. Louis in the Central.

■ Oilers 6, Ducks 1: At Anaheim,

Calif., Connor Mcdavid scored his 40th goal of the season and had two assists to extend his point streak to 13 games. Leon Draisaitl scored his 50th goal of the season for Edmonton, which won its fourth straight. Anaheim has lost 12 of its past 13.

■ Panthers 5, Sabres 3: At Buffalo, N.Y., Jonathan Huberdeau scored his 24th goal of the season to extend his point streak to eight games and raise his season total to 97, setting a Florida record. The Panthers (48-15-6) set a franchise mark for wins and clinched a playoff berth.

■ Flyers 4, Rangers 3, SO: At New York, Kevin Hayes scored the lone shootout goal to back Martin Jones, who had 43 saves through overtime and two in the shootout, as Philadelph­ia recovered after blowing a 3-0 lead.

■ Kraken 4, Stars 1: At Seattle, Carson Soucy and

Alex Wennberg each had two assists to back Chris Driedger, who stopped 29 shots, as Seattle halted its twogame skid and Dallas’ three-game win streak.

■ Islanders 4, Devils 3: At Newark, N.J., Jean-gabriel Pageau had three goals and an assist in New York’s fourth straight win and New Jersey’s third loss in a row.

■ Coyotes 3, Blackhawks 2, OT: At Chicago, Shayne Gostisbehe­re scored on a deflection with 14.7 seconds left in overtime to hand Chicago its fifth straight loss.

■ Senators 5, Red Wings 2: At Ottawa, Ontario, Josh Norris scored three goals for his first NHL hat trick, and Detroit lost its sixth straight.
