Sybil Lowe Conlan passed away May 12, 2022 with family at her side. She was born January 07, 1945 in Las Vegas, and was a 4th generation Nevadan. She attended Las Vegas schools and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1963, where she was an honor student and a member of the Rhythmette­s. She graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1967 with a BS degree in elementary education and worked on her MS in elementary and special education at the University of Nevada, Reno. Sybil taught school for several years in Las Vegas and Reno. Sybil was married to Paul “Pete” Conlan. They made their home in Reno for over 35 years. She was a devoted wife and mother, and accomplish­ed homemaker and gardener. She enjoyed running her own business of buying and selling antique porcelain. She served as Pete’s caregiver the last 5 years of his life until his death in 2004. Sybil was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She taught 16 years in the children’s Primary program. She was a Boy Scout leader for 5 years, and also served as Relief Society President, directing the women’s compassion­ate service and educationa­l programs for her ward. Sybil was a member of the historical society, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and served as their lecturer. Sybil was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lula Lowe; sister,

Myrna; brothers Douglas and Donald; and husband Paul “Pete” Conlan. She is survived by daughter Jennifer and her wife Belinda of Reno; son Nathaniel and his wife Natalie and grandchild­ren Ella Josephine and Samuel Paul of Reno; daughter Catherine and her partner Rob of Goodyear, AZ; brother Nolan Lowe and his wife Ann of Central Utah; sister Patricia Badame and her husband

Eugene of Reno; sister-in-law Victoria Lowe of Durant, OK; and several beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
