Jack David Bulavsky, age 78, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Jack was born in Kansas City, Missouri on March 3, 1944 to Herman and Lillian Bulavsky. He was preceded by his parents; mother and father-inlaw Julian and Iris Smolens; and brother-in-law Jay Nelson. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Marilyn Polovina; his daughter, Jessica (Steve) Cole; his son, Matthew (Mariela) Bulavsky; step-daughter, Gina Polovina (Ira David Sternberg); sister, Diana Nelson; brother Jerry Bulavsky (Sandra Stillwater); grandchild­ren, Benjamin and Sammy Cole; nieces, nephews, cousins, a large extended family and many good friends. Jack was a veteran public relations and advertisin­g executive in several hotels in Nevada and worked as an independen­t consultant and writer. He was a long-time columnist for the Las Vegas Israelite, and a writer for the Las Vegas Review-journal among other magazines and publicatio­ns. Years prior, Jack served as an Army photojourn­alist in Vietnam. He loved sports and followed the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, UNLV basketball, and the Vegas Golden

Knights. Jack enjoyed listening to a variety of musical genres from Bob Marley to Frank Sinatra and watching classic movies of the ‘30s and ‘40s. Above all else, Jack loved his family, friends and having a good time. He truly was the life of the party. His quick wit, genuine warmth and outgoing personalit­y will be sorely missed by those who knew him. A private family service will be followed by a celebratio­n of life at a later date.
