This prequel to Supernatur­al tells the story of how John Winchester (Drake Rodger) met Mary Campbell (Meg Donnelly) in the 1970s after he returned from fighting in the Vietnam War. The duo seeks to uncover hidden family truths while fighting supernatur­al beings along the way. Jensen Ackles is an executive producer and also narrates the fantasy/drama. Bianca Kajlich, Demetria Mckinney, Jojo Fleites and Nida Khurshid also star.

The Renovator

HGTV, 8 p.m. ■ New Series

Entreprene­ur, designer and television personalit­y Marcus Lemonis improves families’ lives and homes in this new homerenova­tion series. He identifies problems with their living space, and through a series of frank conversati­ons and activities framed by the design process, he will provide solutions for each family’s physical surroundin­gs and personal trials to get their houses in order.

The Voice

The battle rounds begin as the coaches enlist music-industry powerhouse­s Jimmie Allen, Sean Paul, Charlie Puth and Jazmine Sullivan to prepare their artists to go head-to-head in hopes of advancing to the knockouts. Each coach has one steal and one save at their disposal.

BET & BET Her, 9 p.m. ■ Season Premiere Season 4 of this drama that lifts the veil on the personal, everyday lives of a fictional first family and their White House staff jumps right back into the action with an unexpected standoff.

The CW, 9 p.m. ■ New Series

Smallville’s Tom Welling plays security operative Vincent Corbo in this internatio­nal action dramedy. Employed by the world’s richest and most powerful individual­s to protect their interests by any means necessary — legal or not — he is hired by billionair­e futurist Peter Swann (Brendan Fraser) to visit French Guiana and investigat­e the failed launch of a satellite, which involves rival corporatio­ns, corrupt government officials and a shadowy crime syndicate.

The Rookie: Feds

ABC, 10 p.m.

In “Star Crossed,” Garza’s unit gets roped into a complicate­d kidnapping case involving a forbidden relationsh­ip between two rival drug-dealing gangs. Meanwhile, Simone’s love life is heating up, Laura comes faceto-face with her past, and Carter tries to reconnect with his wife.
