THURSDAY’S GAMES

-

Bills (7-3) at Lions (4-6)

Thursday 9:30 a.m. (KLAS-8)

■ Line: Bills -9½, total 54½

■ Bills player to watch: WR Stefon Diggs, who the Browns held without a catch until he scored the go-ahead TD on a 5-yard reception with 14 seconds left in the first half. He finished with a season-low 48 yards receiving on four catches. Diggs should be more active against one of the NFL’S shakiest passing defenses.

■ Lions player to watch: RB Jamaal Williams had a career-high three touchdowns against the Giants. Williams joined Shaun Alexander, Ladainian Tomlinson and Priest Holmes as the only players since 2000 to have more than one rushing TD in at least five of a team’s first 10 games in a season.

■ Key matchup: Buffalo’s running game against Detroit’s defense. Bills RB Devin Singletary ran for a season-high 86 yards, the same total rookie RB James Cook had for his best game on the ground in the win over Cleveland. That production took pressure off QB Josh Allen. The Lions have been shaky against the run, but they limited Giants star Saquon Barkley to a season-low 22 yards on 15 carries.

■ Injuries: Bills DE Greg Rousseau (ankle) will miss his third straight game, and LB Tremaine Edmunds (groin) was ruled out. … DE A.J. Epenesa (ankle) is doubtful after he was hurt Sunday, and C Mitch Morse (elbow, ankle) is questionable. … Lions will be without perhaps their best player on defense, CB Jeff Okudah (concussion). … Starting guards Jonah Jackson (concussion) and Evan Brown (ankle) are out, as are DES Charles Harris (groin) and Josh Paschal (knee). … WR Josh Reynolds (back) is questionable.

Giants (7-3) at Cowboys (7-3)

Thursday, 1:30 p.m. (KVVU-5)

■ Line: Cowboys -10, total 45½

■ Giants player to watch: RB Saquon Barkley was held to a season-low 22 yards against the NFL’S second-worst run defense in the loss to the Lions. He had 81 yards and a TD in the first meeting with the Cowboys. Barkley’s previous season low was 53 against Seattle on Oct. 30, and he bounced back two weeks ago with 152 yards.

■ Cowboys player to watch: QB Dak Prescott had the second-highest completion rate of his career at 88 percent against the Vikings in the biggest road rout in club history. The Dallas offense has been better in three games since his return from a fractured thumb on his throwing hand.

The Cowboys are the only team to score at least 40 points twice this season, both since Prescott returned from a five-game absence.

■ Key matchup: Dallas LB Micah Parsons vs. New York QB Daniel Jones. Parsons is the first Dallas player with double-digit sacks in each of his first two seasons since the stat became official in 1982. The reigning NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year has five two-sack games, accounting for all of his team-leading 10 sacks. But he will have to account for the running ability of Jones. The first meeting was one of Parsons’ five games without a sack.

■ Injuries: The Giants will be without three starters in the offensive line in C Jon Feliciano (neck), RT Evan Neal (knee) and LG Josh Ezeudu (neck). … CB Adoree Jackson (knee) also is out. … For the Cowboys, Parsons is nursing a lower leg injury after getting rolled up on against the Vikings. … LB Anthony

Barr had a setback with a hamstring injury in practice last week and is unlikely to play. It would be his third consecutive missed game. … Four Dallas defensive linemen were on the injury report because of illness.

Patriots (6-4) at Vikings (8-2)

Thursday, 5:20 p.m. (KSNV-3)

■ Line: Vikings -2½, total 42½

■ Patriots player to watch: LB Matt Judon leads the NFL with a career-high 13 sacks. The three-time Pro Bowl pick, who’s in his second season with the Patriots, has three games with at least two sacks and had 1½ sacks against the Jets.

■ Vikings player to watch: TE T.J. Hockenson ought to have plenty of opportunities with the Patriots sure to be trying to smother star WR Justin Jefferson. In three games with the Vikings since arriving in a trade with Detroit, Hockenson has 21 receptions for 149 yards on 28 targets.

■ Key matchup: Vikings offensive line vs. Patriots pass rush. After QB Kirk Cousins took a career-high seven sacks against Dallas, another good defense comes to town. New England has 36 sacks. Vikings LT Christian Darrisaw gave up two sacks in the first half against the Cowboys, the first he’d allowed all season, and entered concussion protocol for the second time in as many weeks.

■ Injuries: Patriots C David Andrews (thigh) is in danger of being sidelined for the third time in four games. … RT Isaiah Wynn (foot) didn’t practice Tuesday. … Vikings CB Andrew Booth Jr. (knee) has been listed as a non-participant on the injury report this week. Booth started last week for CB Akayleb Evans (concussion), who returned to practice this week on a limited basis. So did DE Dalvin Tomlinson (calf), who has missed the past three games.
