Fun and Fabulous Holiday Shopping

- By Debbie Hall

There are many shopping options, whether online with home deliveries, brick-andmortar retail outlets, or ordering online and pickup options.

Black Friday falls on Nov. 25, but deals are already being offered. Best Buy is offering new deals weekly until Black Friday. Target is featuring Deal of the Day and weekly specials. Online savings include Chewy. com (for pets) and Mayfair.com for furniture and holiday decor. Follow social media and websites to get notifications of great deals.

Also, with the positive response from the past two years, several retailers will be closed on Thanksgiving, opening early on Black Friday. Some outlets closed on the holiday include Costco, Home Depot, JC Penny, Kohl’s, Lowes, Target, Walmart and Sam’s Club. While this is a partial list, confirm online for hours.

To support small businesses and individuals, consider shopping online at Etsy.com. For retail spaces, 18b Arts District, The Arts Factory and Arts Square supports the creative economy with art galleries, gift shops, boutiques and home goods. Henderson boasts its own city core with the Water Street District, with places to shop and dine. Close to Water Street is Happy Earth Market, a community center featuring local, ethical and one-of-a-kind unique pieces and natural, Earth-friendly products.

The Las Vegas Design Center in the World Market Center is open to the public. Browse in more than 30 designer showrooms presenting over 120 product lines. Select gifts from a global selection of the industry’s finest furniture, fabrics, lighting, floor coverings, wall décor, decorative accessories and kitchen and bath products.

On your mark, get ready, and go shop!
