Janice Pihl Rowland, 75, peacefully returned home November 17, 2022. Janice was born August 4, 1947 in St. George, UT to Robert and Emaline Pihl. She was the oldest of six children and felt a responsibi­lity to care for her family. She was always a bright student that did her best. Part of her earlier education took place in a one-room schoolhous­e in Littlefiel­d, AZ where she would help the teacher with the other students in the classroom. Her family then moved to Salt Lake City when she graduated from Olympus High School in 1965. She later moved to Henderson. Janice was always a fashionabl­e woman and found her perfect Job at the Joseph Magnin department store located on the Las Vegas Strip. She was an assistant manager and was very talented at dressing the clients. Janice met her sweetheart, Donald, in 1967, and they were married April 19, 1968. A few years laters, she stopped working and became a devoted full-time mom. She was actively involved in PTA and parent organizati­ons during all three daughters’ elementary school to high school attendance. She was the Young Women’s President for several years and one of her favorite callings was a Bride’s attendant. She was actively involved in supporting many different charities. Her favorite times were spent visiting with her family and friends and helping others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Emaline Pihl; brother, Russell; and sonin-law Dan. She is survived by her siblings, Philip, Morris, Christophe­r and Marilyn Jensen (Dale); husband, Donald; daughters, Robyn (Ed), Jennifer

(Jeffrey) and Emily; and her grandchild­ren Parker, Preston (Rachel), Kennedy (Logan), Cassidy, Camrynn, Khloe, Jacob and Colton. Visitation will be 6-7:30pm Fri., Nov. 25. Services will be at 9am Sat., Nov. 26, both at 1725 Palora Ave., Las Vegas, NV.
