Williamson spurs Pelicans to OT victory over Phoenix

Zion Williamson scored 35 points as host New Orleans beat short-handed Phoenix 129-124 in overtime for the Pelicans’ seventh straight victory.

C.J. Mccollum added 29 for New Orleans, which beat the Suns — playing without top scorer Devin Booker (tight left hamstring) — for the second time in three days and won for the 12th time in 14 games to surge into the West lead.

■ 76ers 131, Hornets 113: At Philadelph­ia, Joel Embiid had 53 points and 11 rebounds for Philadelph­ia, his fourth 50-point game and second this season. It was Embiid’s 30th game with 40 points and 10 rebounds; Wilt Chamberlai­n is the only other player to accomplish that feat in franchise history.

■ Knicks 112, Kings 99: At New York, Julius Randle scored all of his 27 points in the first half and was ejected in the third quarter for New York, which won its fourth straight and held Sacramento to fewer than 100 points for the first time this season.

■ Rockets 97, Bucks 92: At Houston, Jalen Green scored 30 points for Houston, which won its fourth straight home game and halted Milwaukee’s four-game win streak. The Bucks shot 37 percent and committed 16 turnovers. ■ Lakers 124, Pistons 117: At Detroit, Lebron James had 35 points and Anthony Davis 34 points and 15 rebounds for Los Angeles, which halted a three-game skid. Bojan Bogdanovic scored 38 points for Detroit. ■ Hawks 123, Bulls 122, OT: At Atlanta, A.J. Griffin hit a 6-footer on an alley-oop pass from Jalen Johnson at the overtime buzzer for Atlanta, which halted a three-game skid. ■ Magic 111, Raptors 99: At Orlando, Fla., Franz Wagner scored 23 points for Orlando, which notched its first threegame win streak since February 2021. ■ Kings 128, Ignite 102: At Dollar Loan Center, Chima Moneke had 23 points and 12 rebounds to lead seven doublefigu­re scorers for Stockton (6-8), which halted a two-game skid. Leonard Miller had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Ignite (3-12) in their eighth straight loss.
