Thomas "Tom" Eddie Willis, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away at the age of 80 years old on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022. Tom was born on December 26th, 1941, in the small town of Spray, North Carolina. After Tom graduated from high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy. During his time in the Navy, Tom went on to become a member of the Underwater Demolition Team and SEAL

Team One. He served in the Vietnam War with SEAL Team One and was a highly decorated war veteran. Some of his military honors/awards included the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars, the Purple Heart, among various other prestigiou­s awards for his service to his nation that he loved so much.

After his Naval service, Tom eventually started his own swimming pool company, which he operated for nearly 50 years, serving the Las Vegas area for most of that time. Tom knew many people throughout the Vegas Valley and was loved by just about all that he encountere­d. He was a playful soul and loved making conversati­on. He loved getting to know people, sharing stories, and genuine human interactio­n. He loved people and loved life, in which he lived his own way. Tom was survived by his wife, Rungnapa, who he recently married; his children, Rob and Kim; his stepson, Danny; his brother, Tony; his sister, Vivian; and his eight grandchild­ren. Tom was preceded in death by his brother, John.

Private services will be held for Tom at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV, where Tom will be buried with Military Funeral Honors.
