Wagners, Banchero excel as Orlando downs Celtics

BOSTON — Moritz Wagner scored 25 points and rookie Paolo Banchero 20 as Orlando beat Nba-leading Boston 117-109 on Friday. Franz Wagner added 19 points for the Magic (10-20), who won their fifth straight and moved to 2-11 on the road. They had a 53-38 edge in rebounds and led for the final 37 minutes. Jayson Tatum scored 31 points and Jaylen Brown 26 for the Celtics (22-8), who fell to 11-3 at home.

■ Nets 119, Raptors 116: At Toronto, Kyrie Irving scored 15 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter, including a winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, as Brooklyn won its fifth in a row. Kevin Durant had 26 points and Nic Claxton 15 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks for Brooklyn, which overcame an 18-point secondquar­ter deficit. Fred Vanvleet scored 39 points for Toronto in its fourth straight loss.

■ Lakers 126, Nuggets 108: At Los Angeles, Lebron James had 30 points and Russell Westbrook 15 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds for Los Angeles, which lost Anthony Davis to a first-half foot injury. Nikola Jokic scored 25 points for Denver, which had won three straight.

■ Cavaliers 118, Pacers 112: At Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell scored 18 of his 41 points in the fourth quarter for Cleveland, which overcame a 13-point deficit in the final period and moved to 13-2 at home. Indiana didn’t have a field goal in the final 5:42.

■ 76ers 118, Warriors 106: At Philadelph­ia, Joel Embiid had 34 points and 13 rebounds for Philadelph­ia, his sixth straight game — and 11th in his past 12 — with at least 30 points. The Sixers won their fourth straight, and Golden State lost its third in a row.

■ Mavericks 130, Trail Blazers 110: At Dallas, Luka Doncic had 33 points and UNLV product Christian Wood 32 points and 12 rebounds for Dallas, which shot 56 percent and halted Portland’s three-game win streak.

■ Knicks 114, Bulls 91: At Chicago,

R.J. Barrett had 27 points to lead three 20-point scorers for New York, which held an opponent to fewer than 100 points for the fifth time in its six-game win streak.

■ Ignite 122, Warriors 118: At Santa Cruz, Calif., Pooh Jeter had 22 points to lead seven double-figure scorers for the Ignite (4-12), who recovered after blowing a 14-point first-half lead and halted an eight-game slide. Lester Quinones’ 24 points led seven double-figure scorers for Santa Cruz (8-8), which had won four of its previous five games.
