GERALD ROTH

-

Gerald “Jerry” Roth, 81, of Henderson, was born to Irving and Ruth Roth in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on May 12, 1941. Jerry passed December 23, 2022, peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was able to stay at home because of the support of his loving family, including his wife, kids, and grandsons, along with the fantastic help/care of Nathan Adelson Hospice and the help from Bill Zeyen. He graduated from American University and continued on to Law School. Upon moving to Las Vegas in 1980, he opened Jerry Roth & Associates, which became a very successful commercial real estate company. He was well respected in the real estate community because he was not only fair, but he was loyal and honest and a man with high integrity. He also was a professional boxing judge who traveled the world with his wife, Bunnie, judging thousands of boxing matches. In fact, he was the first and only professional boxing judge to ever be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2017 in Canastota, New York. He considered that an experience of a lifetime and was so humbled to have been given that honor. He was also inducted into the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame in 2018, which was an exciting achievement for him. Above all else, Jerry loved his adoring family. Family meant everything to him! Thankfully, he taught us all how important being present in your family is by how he lived his amazing life. And in return, his entire family loved and took exceptional care of him, being right by his side, at all times, when he needed us most in the last few years of his life. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Frank “Snooky” Kasmer. He is survived by his loving wife, Bunnie, of over 59 years, who was by his side ALWAYS, as they were inseparable and had an amazingly close relationship and his three children; Michele, Andrea, and Mark; who were with him constantly and kept him feeling safe and loved at all times. In fact, Mark moved back to Las Vegas to be closer to his dad; Andrea moved into their home to always be with her parents; and Michele was always there to help. Additionally, he is also survived by his sister-in-law, Lenore Leon and three grandsons, Evan (Christie), Eric, and Josh Kaufman whom, lucky for them, he was more like a father to them. Because of their incredible relationship, Josh helped take care of his “Papa” and lived at their house over the past 3+ years of his life, rarely leaving him. Eric helped “Papa” most nights, on the weekends, and whenever he was off of work. Evan and Christie were with him sharing their brand new baby girl, Nora, almost every day since she was born this past August. Nora made “Papa” a great-grandfather, which was certainly one of the highlights of his life. He was a kind, caring, honest, and thoughtful man who was admired and respected not only his family, but by everyone who ever had the pleasure and honor of knowing him. Rest in peace, “Pa Pa.” We will miss you dearly and think about you every day for the rest of our lives. We will aspire to be the kind of exceptional person you always were.

Thank you for being such a fantastic role model, not only for your own three kids, but also for your adoring grandsons.

You helped make them the exceptional young men they are today. We all love you forever. A private graveside service for immediate family members was held at King David Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, December 27, 2022. King David Memorial Chapel made the arrangements.
