Yvonne Wunderlich, 93, of Las Vegas passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023. A native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvan­ia she was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Charles C. Wunderlich (Veterinari­an) for 57 years. She was also the cherished mother of Denise Wunderlich, Lisa Wetzel, and the late Caryn Wunderlich Gott; grandmothe­r of, Will, Julie (Dr. Greg Pavlos) and Yvonne Cox, Brandon Wetzel, Dr. Michelle (Alex Svetlovsky) and Charlie Gott; and great-grandmothe­r of Elizabeth Pavlos. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her daughter Caryn, her parents Mary & Drennen Rothey, and her brother Warren Rothey. She was blessed with a 65- year career as a notable vocal soloist mainly in the Pittsburgh area. She sang frequently at Westminste­r Presbyteri­an Church in Upper St. Clair, where she was a member for 58 years and served as a deacon. She studied voice at Carnegie Mellon University after graduating from Robert Morris Business School. She also sang with The Pittsburgh Opera Company, The Pittsburgh Bach Choir, and the Bob Locklin Singers. She was president of the Auxiliary to the American Veterinary Medical Associatio­n and a longtime member of PEO (Philanthro­pic Educationa­l Organizati­on). A memorial service will be held at Green Valley Presbyteri­an Church where she was a member for 7 years, 1798 Wigwam Parkway Henderson Nevada on Saturday February 11th at 3 p.m. followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. Yvonne will be taken home to Pittsburgh for interment at Round Hill Cemetery on Monday February 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Wunderlich Foundation Memorial Recording Project (Wunderlich­foundation.org) This fund will award recording sessions to talented musicians in the recital hall at Southern Nevada Music.
