Paulisca (Pat) Buckholz of Las Vegas, NV. was 91 years old when she passed away peacefully in her home on Jan 24th, 2023_born in Oto Iowa May 5th, 1931 the youngest of 6 children. She moved to California in 1948 and graduated from Galileo High School. She worked as a waitress in the family-owned café where she met the love of her life Paul Buckholz and married in 1951. Paul and Paulisca bought a home, moved to Hayward CA., and raised their two girls, Pamela and Paula. Paulisca worked for the Hayward Unified School District Cafeteria for many years before moving to Bethel Island, CA in 1980 where her husband Paul passed away 2 months later. Paulisca made the best of her situation. Meeting new people, joining the lionesses, boating on the river, and waitressin­g at Belucchi's restaurant. In 1998 moved to Las Vegas, NV. Paulisca was involved in many organizati­ons including the Emblem Club, several chapters of the Red Hat Society, Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Towne Club, and an active participan­t with various Senior Centers throughout Las Vegas. She lit up the room with her joy, smile, and upbeat personalit­y. Paulisca always enjoyed sparking a conversati­on with a new face wherever she went making everyone feel welcomed. She was not one to complain, always seeing the good in everything and everybody.

She loved to travel, go on cruises, and road trips all while exploring new cities. She loved hummingbir­ds, hot air balloons and enjoyed playing Bunco and Bingo

She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Buckholz, and Paula Jo Hailey both from Las Vegas, and Granddaugh­ters, Paulynn Hailey Esteban from TX., and Holly Buckholz-janes from Hayward CA.
