No. 10 Tennessee breezes to win over No. 1 Alabama

Zakai Zeigler and Santiago Vescovi each scored 15 points to help No. 10 Tennessee beat No. 1 Alabama 68-59. The visiting Crimson Tide (22-4, 12-1 SEC), playing their first game as a top-ranked team since 200203, had 19 turnovers while becoming the last Power Five men’s team to lose a conference game this season. The Volunteers (20-6, 9-5) didn’t trail after the opening minutes.

■ No. 7 Virginia 61, Louisville 58: At Louisville, Ky., the Cavaliers (20-4, 12-3 ACC) overcame a nine-point first-half deficit and then missed five free throws in the final 3:47 while holding off the lastplace Cardinals (3-23, 1-14).

■ No. 11 Marquette 69, No. 16 Xavier 68: At Milwaukee, Olivier-maxence Prosper tipped in a missed shot with 1.6 seconds left for the Golden Eagles (21-6, 13-3 Big East). Souley Boum had 24 points for the Musketeers (19-7, 11-4).

■ Northwestern 64, No. 14 Indiana 62: At Evanston, Ill., Boo Buie hit a tiebreaking shot with two seconds left and totaled 21 points for the Wildcats (19-7, 10-5 Big Ten). The Hoosiers (18-8, 9-6) trailed by 19 at halftime.

■ No. 19 Iowa State 70, No. 22 Texas Christian 59: At Ames, Iowa, Aljaz Kunc scored 22 points for the Cyclones (17-8, 8-5 Big 12), who didn’t trail while handing the Horned Frogs (17-9, 6-7) their fourth straight loss.

■ No. 21 San Diego State 45, Fresno State 43: At Fresno, Calif., the Aztecs (21-5, 12-2) didn’t trail over the final 2:07 despite shooting 32.7 percent in their eighth straight win over the Bulldogs (9-16, 5-9).

■ Boise State 80, Colorado State 78: At Fort Collins, Colo., the Broncos (20-6, 10-3) didn’t trail over the final 3:37. The Rams (11-15, 3-10) shot 51.8 percent. WOMEN

■ No. 6 Connecticut 62, Creighton 60: At Storrs, Conn., Caroline Ducharme scored all 10 of her points in the fourth quarter, including two free throws with 4.8 seconds left that put the Huskies (23-4, 15-1 Big East) ahead to stay. The Bluejays (18-7, 125) led by 11 in the final quarter.
