History of the World, Part II

Hulu ■ New Series Over 40 years after a sequel to Mel Brooks’ 1981 comedy History of the World, Part I was teased, fans finally get it in the form of this eight-episode series led by Brooks, who is also a writer and executive producer. As with the original film, each installmen­t of this comedy features a variety of sketches that offer hilarious takes on different periods of human history. Leading the cast with Brooks are co-writers Wanda Sykes, Nick Kroll and Ike Barinholtz. Also appearing will be a large ensemble of actors, including Jillian Bell, Danny Devito, David Duchovny, Johnny Knoxville, Emily Ratajkowsk­i, Seth Rogen, Sarah Silverman, J.B. Smoove, Taika Waititi and many more. Two new episodes are available daily starting today through March 9.

FOX, 8 p.m. ■ New Episodes The drama starring Angela Bassett and Peter Krause as emergency responders in Los Angeles returns with new Season 6 episodes tonight.

The Voice

NBC, 8 p.m. ■ Season Premiere Season 23 of the singing competitio­n brings on two new judges — Grammy-winning artist/ songwriter/producer Chance the Rapper and singer-songwriter/multi-instrument­alist Niall Horan. They join returning judges Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton, who is leaving The Voice after this season. “I’ve been wrestling with this for a while,” Shelton said of his decision to step away. “It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years . ... This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home for me.” Reba Mcentire will serve as Mega Mentor for this season.

Fantasy Island

FOX, 9 p.m. In “Walk a Country Mile,” Marie Osmond guest-stars as a country-music star who fantasizes about being anonymous so she can focus on finishing her next album in the new episode “Walk a Country Mile.”

Jared From Subway: Catching a Monster

Investigat­ion Discovery, beginning at 9 p.m.; also streams on discovery+ ■ New Series

This three-part docuseries (all episodes airing back-to-back tonight on ID) reveals the untold story behind the fall of former Subway sandwiches spokesman Jared Fogle. In 2015, Americans who had been charmed by Fogle’s persona and inspired by his story of overcoming obesity through a Subway diet were stunned when authoritie­s brought multiple charges of child endangerme­nt against him and his business partner, Russell Taylor. Jared From Subway delves into the investigat­ion that finally exposed Fogle’s true nature as a child sex predator.

The Good Doctor

In “Old Friends,” this backdoor pilot for The Good Lawyer has Felicity Huffman (time for the college admissions scam served!) as counsel hired by Dr. Glassman (Richard Schiff) to help Shaun (Freddie Highmore) in a legal tiff. He prefers Joni Degroot (Kennedy Mcmann, Nancy Drew), a crackerjac­k with OCD.

The Watchful Eye

In “Out Like a Light,” a blackout at The Greybourne traps Elena (Mariel Molino), Roman (Andres Velez), Bennet (Grace Kaufman), Ginny (Aliyah Royale) and Kim (Clare Filipow) in the attic.
