They next face fifth-seeded UC Santa Barbara in the final at 3 p.m. Saturday. Kianna Hamilton-fischer scored 17 points for the second-seeded Beach (23-9), who were outrebound­ed 38-28.

■ UC Santa Barbara 75, Cal State Bakersfiel­d 66: Alexis Tucker had 28 points and seven rebounds for the fifth-seeded Gauchos (21-11), who shot 48.8 percent and hit 30 of 39 free throws. Taylor Caldwell scored 15 points on 7-for-20 shooting for the ninth-seeded Roadrunner­s (8-23), who ousted top-seeded UC Irvine (24-6) in a quarterfin­al.

WAC men At Orleans Arena

■ Grand Canyon 78, Sam Houston State 75: Kobe Knox scored 21 points for the fifth-seeded Antelopes (2311), who went ahead to stay on Noah Baumann’s 3-pointer with 51 seconds left. They next face third-seeded Southern Utah in the final at 8:30 p.m. Saturday. Qua Grant scored 24 points and had three of the four turnovers by the top-seeded Bearkats (24-7), who led 4236 at halftime. Baumann and Chance Mcmillian each had 17 points for Grand Canyon, which shot 54.3 percent while hitting 16 of 30 3-point tries.

■ Southern Utah 89, Utah Valley 88: Tevian Jones converted a go-ahead four-point play with four seconds left and totaled 20 points for the third-seeded Thunderbir­ds (22-11), who trailed by 23 with just under 16 minutes to play. Clark product Trey Woodbury scored 29 points for the second-seeded Wolverines (25-8), who shot 55.4 percent.

WAC women At Orleans Arena

■ California Baptist 69, Stephen F. Austin 64: Chloe Webb scored 17 points for the fourth-seeded Lancers (1912), who shot 49.0 percent and didn’t trail after the opening three minutes. They next face second-seeded Southern Utah in the final at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Jordan Harrison had 22 points, seven assists and three steals for the top-seeded Ladyjacks (26-6), who shot 29.2 percent while missing 20 of 24 3-point tries.

■ Southern Utah 64, Grand Canyon 51: Megan Jensen had 22 points and eight rebounds for the second-seeded Thunderbir­ds (22-9), who shot

45.1 percent and didn’t trail after the first quarter. Naudia Evans scored 13 points for the third-seeded Antelopes (2110), who shot 37.3 percent and were outrebound­ed 39-27.
