Broncos add two pieces to offensive line

The Denver Broncos strengthen­ed their offensive line on Monday, agreeing to deals with right tackle Mike Mcglinchey and left guard Ben Powers.

Mcglinchey is getting an $87.5 million, five-year contract with $50 million guaranteed. Mcglinchey was the ninth overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft. He started 69 games in five seasons for the 49ers, helping pave the way for one of the league’s top rushing units over the past several years.

Powers receives a $52 million, four-year contract with $28.5 million guaranteed. Powers started 36 games in four seasons with the Ravens.

■ 49ers: San Francisco made a big addition to its stellar defense, plucking Eagles defensive tackle Javon Hargrave from Philadelph­ia with a four-year, $84 million contract . The deal includes $40 million in guarantees and gives the 49ers a top interior pass rusher to team with AP Defensive Player of the Year Nick Bosa on the edge.

The 49ers also filled another hole, agreeing on a one-year deal with quarterbac­k Sam Darnold. He gives San Francisco depth with Trey

Lance working his way back from a broken ankle and Brock Purdy sidelined until at least August as he recovers from elbow surgery.

■ Bears: Chicago made two big additions at linebacker, agreeing to contracts with Bills Pro Bowler Tremaine Edmunds and former Eagle T.J. Edwards. Edmunds’ deal is worth $72 million over four years with $50 million guaranteed. Edwards is due $19.5 million over three years, with $12 million guaranteed. Edmunds gives the Bears the playmaking outside linebacker they’ve been seeking since dealing Roquan Smith last season.

■ Falcons: Atlanta has agreed to a four-year, $64 million contract with former Bengals safety Jessie Bates. The Falcons also agreed to acquire tight end Jonnu Smith from the Patriots for a seventh-round pick. Atlanta also announced that Pro Bowl guard Chris Lindstrom has signed a fiveyear contract extension worth $105 million, reportedly making him the NFL’S highest-paid guard.

■ Chargers: The agent for running back Austin Ekeler is seeking permission from the Chargers to speak to other teams about potential trade options. Cameron Weiss has been seeking an extension for his client with little progress.

■ Chiefs: Jawaan Taylor has agreed to an $80 million, four-year contract with Kansas City to replace Orlando Brown as the blindside protector for Patrick Mahomes. Taylor started all 66 games he’s played in since entering the league as a second-round pick of the Jaguars in 2019.

■ Lions: Detroit is adding standout cornerback Cameron Sutton with a three-year contract worth $33 million. The Lions also agreed to a $18.75 million, three-year deal to retain linebacker Alex Anzalone.

■ Steelers: Eight-time Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson is leaving the Vikings for Pittsburgh and a two-year contract.

■ Commanders: Washington added to its offensive line by agreeing to terms on three-year deals with with Chiefs tackle/guard Andrew Wylie and Giants center/guard Nick Gates. The team also claimed cornerback Cameron Danzler off waivers from the Vikings.

■ Ravens: Baltimore released veteran defensive end Calais Campbell, 36, who is looking to play a 16th NFL season.

■ Vikings: Minnesota ramped up its run blocking by agreeing to terms with former Ravens tight end Josh Oliver on a three-year, $21 million contract.
