The Fall of the House of Usher
Netflix New Series
Mike Flanagan, who created Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass, is back with another horror series. This eightepisode production is based on the works of Edgar Allan Poe, and follows ruthless siblings Roderick and Madeline Usher (Bruce Greenwood and Mary Mcdonnell), who have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But past secrets come to light when Roderick’s children, the heirs to the Usher dynasty, start dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from the siblings’ youth.
Frasier
Paramount+ New Series
Kelsey Grammer reprises his beloved, Emmy-winning role as Dr. Frasier Crane, which he originated during a nine-season stint on Cheers from 1984-93, followed by the first, 11-season incarnation of the character’s spinoff series from 1993-2004. This comedy, which, like the previous two series, is filmed in front of a live studio audience, follows Frasier in the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston. Jack Cutmore-scott costars as Frasier’s son Freddy. The first two episodes are available today on Paramount+ and CBS; new episodes stream Thursdays.
