Rockets notch first road win, deal Nuggets first home loss

Jalen Green scored 26 points and Fred Vanvleet 25 for Houston, which withstood a late Denver rally to beat the Nuggets 114-106 on Friday for its first road win this season.

The Rockets (10-9) had lost their first eight road games before handing Denver (14-9) its first loss in 10 home games. Houston nearly squandered a 25-point fourth-quarter lead.

■ Thunder 138, Warriors 136, OT: At Oklahoma City, Shai Gilgeous-alexander scored 38 points for Oklahoma City, which overcame a 14-point second-quarter deficit.

■ Bulls 121, Spurs 112: At San Antonio, Colby White had 24 points to lead four 20-point scorers for Chicago, which won its fourth straight dealt San Antonio its franchise record-tying 16th loss in a row. Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama had 21 points and 20 rebounds.

■ Kings 114, Suns 106: At Phoenix, De’aaron Fox scored 28 of his 34 points in the second half for Sacramento, which overcame a nine-point intermissi­on deficit and handed Phoenix its fourth loss in five games.

■ Timberwolv­es 127, Grizzlies 103: At Memphis, Tenn., Rudy Gobert had 16 points, 20 rebounds and six blocks for Minnesota (17-4), which won its sixth straight and ninth in 10 games.

■ Magic 123, Pistons 91: At Orlando, Fla., Franz Wagner scored 27 points for Orlando, which shot 55.1 percent in its 10th win in 12 games and handed Detroit (2-20) its 19th straight loss. G League

■ Warriors 153, Ignite 118: At Dollar Loan Center, Lester Quinones scored 32 points for Santa Cruz (7-3), which shot 58.5 percent and had a 50-32 edge in rebounds. Ron Holland had 31 points for the Ignite (2-9), who had won two in a row.
