Bouchard, Oilers top Wild, notch sixth straight victory

Defenseman Evan Bouchard had two goals and an assist, including the goahead goal 1:32 into the third period, as host Edmonton edged Minnesota 4-3 on Friday for the Oilers’ sixth straight win.

Original Golden Knight Marc-andre Fleury had 36 saves for the Wild, who were outshot 40-20. Minnesota lost its second straight after winning its first four games under coach John Hynes.

Ryan Nugent-hopkins assisted on all four Edmonton goals, and Connor Mcdavid and Leon Draisaitl each had a goal and an assist for the Oilers.

Matt Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek scored 26 seconds apart in the second period’s opening minute, both on assists from Marcus Johansson, to put the Wild up 2-1. Mcdavid scored 40 seconds later to tie it.

■ Blue Jackets 5, Blues 2: At Columbus, Ohio, Yegor Chinakhov scored twice in the third period and had an assist, and Jet Greaves stopped 41 shots in his first NHL victory as Columbus halted a three-game skid. Robert Thomas had both goals for St. Louis, which lost its second straight after alternatin­g wins and losses for eight games.

■ Panthers 3, Penguins 1: At Sunrise, Fla., Anton Lundell assisted on goals by Oliver-ekman Larsson and Eetu Luostarine­n to back Sergei Bobrovsky, who stopped 26 shots in Florida’s third win in four games. Original Golden Knight Reilly Smith scored for Pittsburgh, which lost its fourth straight.

■ Barracuda 6, Silver Knights 1:

At San Jose, Calif., Danil Gushchin had a goal and three assists as San Jose (6-11-4) halted a two-game skid with its second win in six games. The Silver Knights (10-10-3) were outshot 29-27 in their fifth straight loss and ninth in 10 games.
