Davis scores 41 points; Lakers hang on to take down Raptors

LOS ANGELES — Anthony Davis scored 20 of his 41 points in a brilliant fourth quarter, and the Los Angeles Lakers held off the Toronto Raptors 132-131 to win back-to-back games for the first time in a month. Lebron James had 22 points and 12 assists for the Lakers, who went 3-10 immediatel­y after winning the inaugural NBA Inseason Tournament last month. Scottie Barnes scored 26 points and Pascal Siakam had 25 for the Raptors, who lost for only the second time in five games since acquiring RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley from New York.

Rui Hachimura missed his fourth straight game with a calf injury, but Lakers coach Darvin Ham said the forward’s condition is improving.

Toronto’s Otto Porter Jr. also missed his fifth straight game with a sprained right knee.

■ Grizzlies 120, Mavericks 103: At Dallas, Desmond Bane scored 13 of Memphis’ final 18 points in the third quarter to help build a 20-point lead entering the final quarter in the team’s first game since learning of leading scorer Ja Morant’s season-ending shoulder injury. Bane finished with 32 points.

■ Kings 131, Pistons 110: At Detroit, Domantas Sabonis scored 37 points and had 13 assists and 10 rebounds for Sacramento, which trailed by as many as 20 points. Detroit has lost five straight since breaking its Nba-record 28game losing streak.

■ Timberwolv­es 113, Magic 92: At Orlando, Fla., Karl-anthony Towns scored 23 of his 28 points in the first half, made all five of his

3-point shots and finished with six rebounds and five assists. Minnesota shot 54 percent for the game.

■ Knicks 112, Trail Blazers 84: At New York, OG Anunoby scored 23 points, his most since being acquired by New York last month, and the Knicks won their fifth in a row since he joined their lineup.
