Mccollum, Pelicans curtail Clippers’ roll

C.J. Mccollum scored 13 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter, and Zion Williamson added 21 points and 10 assists as New Orleans slowed the host Los Angeles Clippers’ recent roll with a 117-106 victory Wednesday.

Brandon Ingram had 15 points and eight rebounds for the Pelicans, who opened a four-game road trip with their fourth straight victory to match their longest win streak this season. Herb Jones and Trey Murphy III added 13 points apiece.

James Harden scored 19 points and Norman Powell 18 for the Clippers, whose four-game win streak ended in their first game back from a 6-1 road trip during which they moved atop the West.

■ Pistons 133, Kings 120: At Sacramento, Calif., Jaden Ivey had a career-high 37 points with seven assists and six rebounds for Detroit (7-43), which improved to 3-20 on the road this season despite missing its top two scorers. Domantas Sabonis had 30 points and 12 rebounds in his 33rd straight double-double for Sacramento.

■ Cavaliers 114, Wizards 106:

At Washington, Donovan Mitchell scored 14 of his 40 points in the fourth quarter for Cleveland (3316), which won its seventh straight and 15th in 16 games to move one game ahead of Milwaukee and New York for second in the East. The game had nine ties and 17 lead changes.

■ Warriors 127, 76ers 104: At Philadelph­ia, Andrew Wiggins had 21 points and 10 rebounds for Golden State, which won for the fourth time in five games and handed Philadelph­ia its third straight loss and seventh in eight games. The Sixers fell to 4-12 this season without injured MVP Joel Embiid.

■ Raptors 123, Hornets 117: At Charlotte, N.C., R.J. Barrett scored 23 points for Toronto, which hit 17 of 33 3-point tries and overcame Miles Bridges’ career-high 45 points to hand Charlotte its ninth straight loss. The Raptors had lost three in a row and eight of their previous nine.

■ Heat 116, Spurs 104: At Miami, Jimmy Butler had 17 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds in his first triple-double since Jan. 29, 2022, for Miami, which won for the fourth time in five games and dealt San Antonio its fifth loss in a row.

■ Celtics 125, Hawks 117: At Boston, Kristaps Porzingis scored 31 points for Boston, which hit 9 of 16 fourth-quarter 3-point tries in its fourth win in five games. Atlanta lost its second straight after a four-game win streak. G League ■ Clippers 110, Ignite 103: At Ontario, Calif., Xavier Moon had 27 points, 10 assists, four steals and one turnover for Ontario (18-15), which overcame a 49-34 rebounding disparity in its fourth straight win. John Jenkins had 30 points and seven assists for the Ignite (5-30) in their third loss in a row and 21st in 22 games.
