Halo

Paramount+  Season Premiere

The hit sci-fi series based on the video-game franchise returns. In Season 2, Master Chief John-117 (Pablo Schreiber) leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe: that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity’s greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind’s salvation, or its extinction — the Halo. Among the other returning cast members are Natascha Mcelhone as Dr. Halsey, Jen Taylor as Cortana, Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066 and Shabana Azmi as Admiral Parangosky. New this season are Joseph Morgan as James Ackerson, a formidable intelligen­ce operative, and Cristina Rodlo as Talia Perez, a corporal specializi­ng in linguistic­s for a communicat­ions unit and a relatively new recruit who has yet to see any real combat. The first two episodes are available today; new episodes drop Thursdays.

The auditions conclude in this new episode as the profession­al chefs enter the kitchen and battle for one of the coveted five spots that advance them to the mentorship team draft.

Tall, Dark and Dangerous

As Valentine’s Day approaches, Alice (Jamie Bernadette), a successful real estate attorney, decides to try out the dating app “Be My Valentine,” where she finds her seemingly perfect match, Chris (Matthew Pohlkamp). But Alice soon realizes that her “Valentine” is an imposter who stole the identity of his former roommate Jason (Tom Sandoval, Vanderpump Rules) in order to insert himself into her life, fooling her boss Ed (Eric Roberts) and even her parents, Susan (Tracy Nelson) and Bill (Michael Paré).

NFL Honors

CBS, 9 p.m.

The NFL’S top individual awards — including MVP, Coach of the Year, Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year, and Walter Payton Man of the Year — are presented tonight at the Resorts World Theatre in Las Vegas. The Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 is also announced. Keegan-michael Key hosts.

In “You’re Full of It,” Mark (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) faces bathroom woes; Fox (Sophia Powers) finds herself parenting her brothers.
