THE prisms in the pyramid are arriving in the spring. Particle Ink’s House of Shattered Prisms at Luxor has pinned its launch date, April 20. The performance-based Particle Ink show plays 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, and 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays (go to particleink.com for tickets and intel).

The “portal to a hidden dimension made of light and ink” had originally planned a March 16 opening. A rep said the opening was moved “to further finalize the production and add the final magical touches ensuring our guests get the kind of unforgettable experience we’re known for.”

The space takes over Luxor’s moribund wedding chapel on the hotel’s second floor, across from Atrium Showroom (where Carrot Top and “Fantasy” headline) and Blue Man Group Theater.

The walk-around experience is presented in two formats. The Wanderlust experience is a self-guided tour through the space, open from 11 a.m.5 p.m. At night, Particle Ink takes over, a 360-degree show blending live performances, acrobatics, street dance and immersive technology.

Both showcases are narrated, the experience likened to an animated film.

The production team at Kaleidoco, an augmented reality and Web3 company, and MGM Resorts International are partnering in the project. Vegas production company Base Entertainment is the show’s manager.

Kaleidoco previously ran “Speed Of Dark” in 2022 in a renovated, redesigned Arts District warehouse. The show played to great response, with visitors (including this one) often suggesting the production needed a venue and location to capture a broader audience.

The move to Luxor gives House of Shattered prisms a chance to break through on the Strip. The company describes its shows as, “One Enigmatic Venue, Two Epic Adventures.”

The team long ago established “enigmatic.” “Epic” is still to be achieved.

“It’s going to open up our world to a much broader audience,” says Jennifer Tuft, Kaleidoco’s co-chief executive officer. “Obviously, being on the Strip and partnering with MGM is really exciting for us.”

Kelly, Mark and ‘Rouge’

“Rouge” might have been called “Really?” when it opened at The Strat Showroom in April 2022.

This would be the response to the claim, “This show will fill the void left by the closing of ‘Zumanity!’”

Really?

But the plucky, funny, sexy adult revue — with its brazen subtitle “The Sexiest Show in Vegas” — has drawn solid business at The Strat Showroom. Next week, the “Rouge” Rialcris acrobatic act is being featured on the ratings machine “Live With Kelly and Mark,” when the show visits Fontainebleau’s Bleaulive Theater.

Hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos take over the venue for shows airing Tuesday through March 1. Rialcris is scheduled for Tuesday’s taping. The trio joins “Abbot Elementary” star Sheryl Lee Ralph in the week’s first show from the Strip.

This is the show’s first visit to Fontainebleau, and Bleaulive Theater’s first foray hosting a televised broadcast. “Rouge” is the only Vegas production represented.

The show airs at 9 a.m. weekday mornings on KLAS Channel 8. Call times for the audiences are 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday (for information about how to attend a taping, go livewithkellyandmark.com/ live/vegas).

Rialcris is the brother act of Ricardo, Alejandro and Cristian Prieto Mora. The triumvirate hails from Bogota, Colombia, and have lived in Mexico for more than two decades. Their parents divorced when they were young, and they literally ran off to join the circus.

The brothers developed an aerial, hand-balancing act that carried them into the finals of “America’s Got Talent” in 2021.

The team joined “Wow” at the Rio in October 2017, moving to “Rouge” when that show launched.

Scheduled for the “Live With Kelly and Mark” Las Vegas series are such star guests as Luxor headliner Carrot Top, “AGT” judge Howie Mandel, classic rockers REO Speedwagon, veteran stand-up comic Jim Gaffigan, headlining DJ Steve Aoki, pop legend and “American Idol” judge Lionel Richie, and frequent Strip performer DJ Pauly D.

“Live” is the top-rated entertainment talk show in the country. Its Dec. 15, holiday telecast drew 2.48 million total viewers, an increase from the prior year’s viewership of 2.46 million. That was the special’s most-watched episode since 2021, according to Nielsen figures.

The next week, Dec. 18-24, “Live” averaged 2.53 million total viewers and a household rating of 1.69, marking a seven-week high since Oct. 30.

Donny as Pharaoh

Donny Osmond is coming back to “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” this December at Scotland’s Edinburgh Playhouse. Osmond is portraying the Pharaoh character from Dec. 3-29. The 66-year-old showman had previously portrayed Joseph for more than 2,000 performances in the 1990s, and continues to sing, “Any Dream Will Do” at his Harrah’s production.

Osmond’s post-“joseph” schedule on the Strip is not known. His last ticketed show at Harrah’s is Nov. 16. We have the antennae up for his longterm plans in Vegas.

Cool Hang Alert

Death-metal fans can convene at Backstage Bar & Billiards on Fremont East. Emerging Brazilian rock outfit Crypta takes over the club at 7 p.m. Sunday. Madzilla, Eloteros and Sorrowseed are special guests. Tickets start at $20; go to Backstagebarlv.com for intel.
