Celtics hammer Warriors, nab 11th straight victory

Jaylen Brown scored 29 points as Nbaleading Boston notched its third-largest winning margin, drubbing visiting Golden State 140-88 on Sunday.

Jayson Tatum had 27 points on his

26th birthday for the Celtics (48-12), who extended their season-best win streak to 11 games.

Boston led by a franchise-record 44 points at halftime and pushed it to 51 early in the third quarter before reserves played the rest of the way.

Stephen Curry, who didn’t play in the second half for the Warriors, scored four points on 2-for-13 shooting. He missed all nine of his 3-point tries.

Golden State had won six of its previous seven games and eight in a row on the road.

■ Thunder 118, Suns 110: At Phoenix, Shai Gilgeous-alexander scored 35 points for Oklahoma City (42-18), which recovered after blowing a 24-point lead and moved atop the West with its seventh win in eight games. Jusuf Nurkic broke the Phoenix single-game record for rebounds with 31, the most in an NBA game in 14 years.

■ Clippers 89, Timberwolv­es 88: Minneapoli­s, Kawhi Leonard hit a goahead layup with 2:01 left and totaled 32 points for Los Angeles, which handed Minnesota a second straight loss for a third time this season.

■ Knicks 107, Cavaliers 98: At Cleveland, Donte Divincenzo had 28 points and Josh Hart 13 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists for New York, which lost All-star guard Jalen Brunson to a left knee contusion in the first minute.

■ Magic 113, Pistons 91: At Orlando, Fla., Paolo Banchero scored 29 points for Orlando (35-26), which won for the sixth time in seven games and surpassed its win total of last season with 21 games left. Detroit (9-51) was outrebound­ed 48-28.

Dallas, Tobias Harris scored 28 points for Philadelph­ia, which dealt Dallas its fourth loss in five games. Luka Doncic had 38 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and seven turnovers for the Mavs.

■ Spurs 117, Pacers 105: At San Antonio, Victor Wembanyama had 31 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and six blocks for San Antonio, which had lost five of its previous six and 12 of its past 14.

■ Raptors 111, Hornets 106: At Toronto, Immanuel Quickley had 22 points and 11 assists for Toronto in its seventh straight home win over Charlotte.

■ Skyhawks 100, Ignite 81: At College Park, Ga., Chris Silva had 22 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals for College Park (25-16), which didn’t trail in the second half of its third straight win. Gabe York had 22 points and seven rebounds for the Ignite (6-37) in their seventh loss in a row.
