Martin, Boise State surge, top San Diego State in OT

Cam Martin made two free throws with 1.7 seconds left, Max Rice heaved in a highlight-reel 3-pointer from 40 feet earlier in overtime, and visiting Boise

State stunned No. 21 San Diego State 7977 on Friday to keep alive its chances of sharing the Mountain West title.

The Broncos (22-9, 13-5) need Utah State to lose to New Mexico on Saturday to earn a share of the title with the Aggies and the winner of UNLV-UNR game.

Jaedon Ledee had 21 points for the Aztecs (22-9, 11-7) but was held scoreless from the final 13 minutes of regulation through overtime. SDSU was denied its first unbeaten home season since 1966-67, finishing 14-1.

■ No. 25 Dayton 91, Virginia Commonweal­th 86, OT: At Dayton, Ohio, Kobe Elvis hit two 3-pointers and two free throws in the last 1:09 of overtime for the Flyers (24-6, 14-4 Atlantic 10), who are 15-0 at home this season. The Rams (1912, 11-7) led by 17 in the first half.

■ San Diego 57, Pepperdine 52: At Orleans Arena, P.J. Hayes scored 15 points for the fifth-seeded Toreros (18-14), who next face fourth-seeded Santa Clara (1912) in a quarterfin­al. The eighth-seeded Waves (13-20) trailed 34-26 at halftime. Top 10 women

■ No. 1 South Carolina 79, Texas A&M 68: At Greensvill­e, S.C., the Gamecocks (30-0) had 10 of their season-high 24 turnovers in the first quarter of an SEC quarterfin­al. Aicha Coulibaly scored 26 of her 32 points in the second half for the Aggies (19-12).

■ No. 2 Stanford 66, No. 13 Oregon State 57: At MGM Grand Garden Arena, Hannah Jump scored 20 points for the top-seeded Cardinal (27-4), who overcame an eight-point halftime deficit in a Pac-12 semifinal. After taking a 16-point secondquar­ter lead, the fourth-seeded Beavers (24-7) missed 28 of their next 33 shots.

■ No. 3 Iowa 95, Penn State 62: At Minneapoli­s, Caitlin Clark missed her first 11 3-point tries before connecting on her 163rd of the season, breaking the NCAA Division I record for 3s in a season by a man or woman. She totaled 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Hawkeyes (27-4) in a Big Ten quarterfin­al. The Lady Lions (19-12) trailed 46-26 at halftime.

■ Maryland 82, No. 4 Ohio State 61: At Minneapoli­s, Shyanne Sellers had 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Terrapins (19-12) in a Big Ten quarterfin­al. They notched their first win over a ranked foe this season. The Buckeyes (25-5) were outrebound­ed 55-31.

■ No. 5 Southern California 80, No. 7 UCLA 70, 2OT: At MGM Grand Garden Arena, Juju Watkins had 33 points and 10 rebounds for the second-seeded Trojans (25-5) in a Pac-12 semifinal. Lauren Betts had 17 points and 18 rebounds for the third-seeded Bruins (25-6), who trailed by 16 after the first quarter.

■ No. 8 Louisiana State 78, Auburn 48: At Greenville, S.C., Flau’jae Johnson scored 25 points for LSU (27-4), which raced to a 21-0 lead in an SEC quarterfin­al. Auburn (20-11) missed its first 14 shots.

■ No. 10 North Carolina 54, Duke

51: At Greensboro, N.C., the Wolfpack (26-5) overcame 38.6 percent shooting by holding the Blue Devils (20-11) to 29.0 percent in an ACC quarterfin­al. Duke missed 12 of 13 3-point tries.
