Coronado product Isaacs lifts Red Raiders past No. 20 BYU
Coronado product Pop Isaacs scored 22 points to help No. 25 Texas Tech beat No. 20 Brigham Young 81-67 in a Big 12 tournament quarterfinal Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri. The Red Raiders (23-9) led by 23 in the first half before the Cougars (23-10) cut their deficit with a 15-0 run.
■ No. 1 Houston 60, Texas Christian 45: At Kansas City, Mo., the Cougars (29-3) bolted to a 16-0 lead and held the Horned Frogs (21-12) to 23.3 percent shooting.
