U.S. News & World Report honors
U.S. News & World Report recognized Valley Hospital as a High Performing Hospital for Heart Failure, Diabetes, Heart Attack, Kidney Failure and Stroke for 2023-2024.
U.S. News & World Report releases its High Performing Hospital listings each year based on services, patient outcomes and experience, staffing and other performance measures. The goal is to help patients make health care choices about specific services, along with guidance from physicians.

Heart failure services
Heart failure occurs when the heart cannot pump enough blood to support the body’s needs. Valley Hospital offers a variety of treatments, including bypass surgery, valve repair and advanced implantable devices like the Impella® cardiacassist device.
Stroke care
Valley Hospital was rated a High Performing Hospital for Stroke by U.S. News & World Report for 2023-2024. A High Performer rating indicates a hospital was significantly better than the national average in a given procedure or condition. The Stroke Center at Valley Hospital also is certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center (CSC) by DNV. This certification reflects the highest level of expertise for the treatment of serious stroke events. A certified CSC can treat patients who require intensive medical and surgical care, specialized tests or interventional therapies.
Expanding with the community
The ER at North Las Vegas, an extension of Valley Hospital Medical Center, is now open! The facility, located at the corner of 5th Street and E. Rome Boulevard, helps meet the emergency medical needs of the growing population in North Las Vegas — 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
