Robert W. “Bob” Blauch

ANNVILLE - Robert W. “Bob” Blauch, 79, of Annville passed away on Tuesday August 8, 2023 at MS Hershey Medical Center. He was the husband of Mary A. (Sweinhart) Blauch, with whom he celebrated nearly 27 years of marriage. They were married on October 19th, 1996.

Bob was born in Lebanon County on January 22, 1944 to the late Warren and Miriam (Snoke) Blauch. He served in the Army PA National Guard, and was a graduate of Annville-Cleona High School Class of 1961. Bob had worked in the payroll department for The Hershey Company for 40 years. He was a member of St. John’s EC Church, where he was a church historian, sang in the church choir, and was a Sunday School teacher. He was a lifetime member of Steelstown Gunning Club. He was treasurer of the 2nd Mountain Hawk Watch. He enjoyed bird watching, photographing birds and flowers, traveling with his wife, Mary, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his stepsons, William MacLean, Steven MacLean, Brian MacLean, Jeffrey MacLean, ten grandchildren, and a brother Samuel Blauch. He was preceded in death by his sister Joyce Bentzel, half-sister Crystal George, and stepbrothers, a stepsister, and his stepfather Melvin George.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday August 17, 2023, at 11AM at St. Johns EC Church, 683 Steelstown Rd, Annville, PA 17003. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. There will be a viewing on Wednesday August 16, 2023, from 6PM – 8PM at the church, and again on Thursday morning from 10AM – 11AM at the church.
