Wing Gordon to transfer from No. 1 UConn
UConn sophomore Lexi Gordon is leaving the program.
A 6-foot wing from Texas. she has scored just 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds while seeing limited action in 30 games for the top-ranked Huskies. She has played just 10 minutes this season, notching a single free throw, while missing all five of her shots from the floor.
Coach Geno Auriemma says Gordon wants to transfer to a school where she will have more opportunities to play.

Evina Westbrook added 20 points and was 9-of-9 from the foul line to help the Lady Volunteers ( 7-0) avoid a stunning upset against an Atlantic Sun school whose only win this season came against NAIA program Webber International.
No. 10 N.C. State: Kiara Leslie scored a seasonhigh 24 points for host N.C. State in first game as a top-10 team since 2014, as the Wolfpack beat Hampton 83-51.
No. 14 Minnesota: Destiny Pitts scored 15 points to help host Minnesota improve to 8-0 with a 75-39 win against Incarnate Word.
No. 15 Syracuse: Digna Strautmane had 17 points and host Syracuse hit a season-high 16 3-pointers in a 96-51 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore. No. 16 Iowa: Tania Davis made a 3-pointer with 2.3 seconds to go and host Iowa held off Iowa State 73-70, giving the Hawkeyes three straight wins in the series for the first time in more than two decades. No. 20 DePaul: Mart’E Grays and reserve Dee Bekelja scored 16 points apiece and DePaul overcame a slow start to beat Northwestern 76-60 in Chicago.
No. 22 South Carolina: Bianca Cuevas-Moore scored 12 points on four 3-pointers, and Alexis Jennings made all five of her shots for 10 points for host South Carolina in an 80-50 win against Appalachian State.
