How Molly Sims Got Her Body Back in Record Time:

-

After having her first child in 2012, supermodel Molly Sims had a difficult time losing the 85 pounds of baby weight due to a recurring thyroid problem. But she did it, with the help of her doctor, a nutritionist and a trainer. Molly, now 44, gave birth to her third child in January of this year, and this time she got her bikini body back in record time. The model and actress ( best known for roles on the TV series Las Vegas and in movies The Benchwarmers and Starsky & Hutch) looks as fit, radiant and fabulous as ever!

LEAN, GREEN PROTEIN MACHINE

The secret to Molly’s success was including proteins, greens, fiber and fat in each meal. For protein, her go-to preferences are fish, grass-fed beef, chicken breast or eggs, and for fat, she sticks with coconut oil, olive oil, avocado, nuts or nut butters. She’d load up on fiber and greens by having two to three cups of raw or cooked veggies while she consumed carbs ( like ½ cup of berries, a corn tortilla or ½ cup of rice) in smaller amounts. Molly also drank lots of water, and she’d allow herself occasional treats like margaritas or a glass of rosé. Though she didn’t work with Molly, registered dietitian Leslie Bonci, author of The Active Calorie Diet, says, “I like that she was selective without being exclusionary with her eating; she wasn’t willing to give up certain indulgences. I also like that she put in the time and effort: When you’re a mom, everything is usually about everyone else — she made her own eating a priority.” After the birth of her new baby, Molly also started working out regularly with a foam roller to build leaner muscles and feel better. As Molly says, “Weight loss begins with taking care of yourself from the inside out.” Feeling is believing!
