SHE’S BACK
After six months of maternity leave, Kate Middleton happily returns to work
After a six-month maternity leave, Kate Middleton returns to her royal duties, juggling work and motherhood.
She’d been largely out of the public eye for six months. But as Kate Middleton chatted and laughed with children from Sayers Croft Forest School in Surrey, England, on Oct. 2, the duchess didn’t skip a beat. “Kate had a blast, really putting her mommy skills to use,” says an insider. “It made her realize how much she’s missed working.”
She’s about to start working a whole lot more. Kate, 36, went on maternity leave before the April 23 birth of son Louis. Now she’s launching a royal l comeback — and will l have to balance car- ing for Louis, George, 5, and Charlotte, 3, with a schedule that includes more charity events than ever. “Kate admires how Princess Diana made such a difference and wants to follow in her footsteps,” a source says of Kate’s husband Prince William’s late mother. “She knows she’s going to have her hands full. But Kate is confident she can make it work.”
A BRAND-NEW CAMPAIGN
She’s doing it all. After the Oct. 9 Global Ministerial Mental Health Summit and cousin-in-law Princess Eugenie’s wedding on Oct. 12, Kate will launch “her first solo campaign,” the source says. “It will focus on disadvantaged children.” And her husband, 36, couldn’t be prouder. “William fully supports Kate’s plan,” the source says. “He’ll do everything he can to help make it possible.”
