Julia Roberts and Danny Moder make a final attempt to save their marriage.
Julia Roberts is preparing for a Homecoming of her own. The 51-year-old actress, who’s been busy promoting both her Amazon series and her film Ben Is Back, has promised to spend more time with husband Danny Moder in a last-ditch effort to salvage what’s left of their 16year marriage. “Julia is trying to bring some much-needed one-on-one time back into their relationship,” spills a source close to the couple, who are parents to twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 14, and son Henry, 11. “Her plan is to take mini getaways without the kids. And if they can’t get out of town for a few nights, she’s committed to booking a hotel room in Malibu or just driving up the coast.” As Life & Style has previously reported, earlier this year, America’s Sweetheart and her cameraman hubby, 49, attended a marriage boot camp in Sonoma, Calif., that she would later recommend to pals George and Amal Clooney, after tensions between the long-troubled pair hit a new low over the summer. “Julia is so preoccupied with work and keep- ing an eye on three teenagers that she sometimes forgets she has a husband at home whom she takes for granted,” says Life & Style’s source, adding that the apologetic pretty woman doesn’t intend to make that big mistake anymore. “It’s Julia’s plan to keep romance in her marriage a priority. Danny loves the idea, but their kids, Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry, seem to be the real winners. They confessed that they can’t wait to be parent-free for a few weekends, mainly from Mom, who’s stricter than Dad.”
“Julia’s already working on her New Year’s resolution,” says a source, “to spend more ‘alone time’ with her husband, Danny.”
