DUELING DIVAS
Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga find themselves in a Las Vegas face-off.
Rolling the dice! Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga both took a huge gamble last year, announcing Las Vegas residencies. However, lady luck only seems to be smiling upon one of the pop stars. The 49-year- old Hollaback Girl’s Just a Girl residency at Zappos Theater at the Planet Hollywood resort in Sin City “is by no means a flop,” an industry insider insists to Life & Style. “But she’s facing some tough competition now that Gaga’s kicked off her own concert series.” Celebs like Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Jeremy Renner, Dave Grohl, Marisa Tomei, Carrie Ann Inaba and Regina King poured into the Park Theater at Park MGM in Las Vegas to watch Mother Monster, 32, maintain a “Poker Face” during her Dec. 28 debut. Gwen, on the other hand, struggled to attract the same A-list- caliber crowd the previous night — although Dr. Phil Mcgraw was spotted in the audience! The No Doubt rocker “is probably relieved that her performances don’t fall on the same dates as Gaga’s Enigma residency,” admits the insider. “Gaga’s show keeps selling out…while Gwen still has a lot of seats to fill.”
