Colton Underwood is certainly making headlines for his recent tenure as the star of ABC’S Thebachelor, but before he was falling in love with Cassie Randolph on national television, he was a professional athlete playing in the NFL. We sat down with the retired football player to dish on his new life as a reality-tv star and discuss his intense health and fitness regime.
How have you overhauled your fitness regimen and transformed your body from football-bulky to ripped? I cut back on the calories, increased my cardio and gutted my supplement regimen. I’ve been using meal preps to help with portion control [kore meals], doing more circuit training to keep the heart rate high and using a different line of Musclepharm products.
What are some of your favorite recipes that use Musclepharm? My favorite thing to do is mix the Musclepharm organic protein powder with my morning coffee and ice.

If there’s one small change readers could implement to help them achieve their wellness goals, what would it be, and what’s the key to sticking to it? Working out in the morning, before the day starts — before my phone starts ringing.
Do you like to work out solo, or with your girlfriend, or both? I’ve found that I get my best workouts when I train with someone… However, if I’m doing cardio, leave me alone, because I can’t talk and run at the same time. I need all the air I can get. My favorite partner workout is circuit training or yoga. I think it’s important to train the mind and the body at the same time.
Speaking of partners, how do you balance your career and spending time with your girlfriend, Cassie Randolph? It’s all about making time together and making sure you share the same passions or have some similarities.
