Kourtney Kardashian jets off to Mexico with Travis Barker as they prep to tie the knot in the sunny locale!
A vacation south of the border included wedding prep for Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian
Travis Barker hadn’t set foot on an airplane since 2008, when he barely survived a fiery plane crash that took the lives of four people. He courageously put the past behind him in mid-august, though, boarding a private jet bound for Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, with his girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian, 42. Posting a romantic shot of Kourt and himself embracing on the runway with the plane (which belongs to her sister Kylie) in clear view, Travis, 45, gushed in the caption: “With you, anything is possible.”
But it may have been more than love that made Travis brave the flight. Life & Style has learned that he and Kourtney have decided to get married in Cabo — and spent a good part of their vacation planning the happy event. “They’ve fallen in love with Cabo,” says an insider, who adds that Kourtney’s mom, Kris Jenner, accompanied them for part of the trip to help with the details. “Mexico has always been special and romantic to Kourtney, and since Travis feels the same, they think it would be the perfect place to bring their two families together for a wedding.”
CAUSE TO CELEBRATE
Both Kourtney and Travis want a low-key ceremony. “It will be really small — just their two families,” says the insider, noting that Travis’ kids, Alabama, 15, and Landon, 17, and Kourtney’s children, Mason, 11, Penelope, 9, and Reign, 6, will definitely be involved in the ceremony. But don’t expect an appearance by Kourt’s baby daddy, Scott Disick, 38. “It’s just a very awkward situation with him,” the insider explains.
Content to leave details like flower arrangements and entertainment up to her resourceful mom, 65, the insider says that Kourtney does want the menu to be vegan, the drink selection to include “lots of margaritas,” and the mood to be as casual as possible: “She just wants everyone relaxed and dancing.”
The day can’t come soon enough for Kourtney or Travis. Even
though the pair have only been “official” since January, the insider says, they fell hard and fast for each other. “They’ve both been equally serious about this relationship from the start,” says the insider, adding that the duo were reported to be longtime friends before things turned romantic. “For Kourt and Travis, it hasn’t been a question of if they’ll get married, it was a question of where and when.”
Now, both of them seem to know that answer. “Travis loves everything about Kourtney,” says the insider. “To marry her in a place as gorgeous as Cabo is truly a dream come true!”
