After a judge rules in her favor, Kelly Clarkson makes ex Brandon Blackstock pay for his greedy behavior.

After a judge rules in Kelly Clarkson’s favor, it’s payback time for her soon-to-be ex, Brandon Blackstock

Kelly Clarkson has needed a vacation for a while. And recently the busy talk show host and The Voice coach, 39, satisfied that need in high style by jetting her besties off to Las Vegas for a fun-filled girls’ trip that included golfing, sightseeing and a George Strait concert at the T-mobile Arena. “Friends, Vegas, Top Golf, and George Strait…” Kelly captioned an Aug. 13 Instagram photo, in which she posed with her two pals. “I dare you to have a better time than me right now.”

Kelly had reason to celebrate. Just one day earlier, it was reported that a judge upheld her prenuptial agreement with Brandon Blackstock, which separates all assets and income she earned during their seven-year marriage and awards her all of their properties — including the sprawling Montana ranch where Brandon, 44, has been living since their 2020 split. “Kelly is going to kick him off the ranch,” says an insider of the “Stronger” singer, who had previously petitioned the court asking to sell the pricey property, which costs a whopping $81,000 a month to maintain. “It hasn’t gone down well with Brandon because he considers it his home. But the ranch is in her name, not his. And she’s ready for revenge.”

MONEY MATTERS

Kelly’s feelings are understandable. While she initially hoped for an amicable divorce, it seemed that from the start,

Brandon was determined to make her pay — literally. As a result of the former talent manager’s legal maneuvering, Kelly was temporarily ordered to pay him a jaw-dropping $200,000 a month in alimony and child support, in addition to all of his legal fees, which amounted to $1.25 million. Now that the court has ruled in her favor, though, the tables have turned.

Kelly’s now expected to pay considerably less in spousal support, and since she has primary custody of River, 7, and Remington, 5, her child support payments may be lower as well. “Brandon has been pushing Kelly’s buttons since the moment they separated,” the insider says. “She’s seen how greedy he can be, and now it’s payback time.”

Indeed, by kicking Brandon off the ranch, she’s taking away not just his home but his livelihood: He recently quit the management business in hopes of becoming a full-time rancher, and has posted many pictures of himself branding cattle, riding horses and tending the land at the Montana estate. “He’s going to have to find property of his own,” the insider says. “Kelly’s through with this chapter of her life, and she’s ready to wipe the slate clean.”
