Finding new ways to entertain ourselves

Hopefully you all are doing well under the stay at home orders. It’s difficult to believe it’s been nearly three months since this all began.

Staying at home has likely made us all come up with creative ways to keep busy — after all, one can only do so much house and yard work.

Normally, the June issue of magazine would be chock-full of ideas for summer activities, but considerin­g that we, in Los Angeles County, are limited in what we can do outside of our homes in terms of recreation­al activities and entertainm­ent, we’ve focused instead, on things that can be done at home.

Perhaps tending to the newly-planted garden is one of the ways you’re keeping busy. Or maybe you are considerin­g planting a garden next year. If so, then we’ve included an article about growing seeds for next year’s garden.

Perhaps you don’t have a green thumb and no matter how hard you try, you can’t keep even a house plant alive. Don’t worry! We’ve included an article on how to style your home with beautiful, fake house plants.

Are you having a tough time with the children at home? You’ll find some tips on pandemic parenting in this issue.
