Ventura Treasures is Lancaster’s newest Antique Store at 710 W Ave L, across from the new Kaiser Hospital. It features quality items at thrift store prices and is managed by Ruben MacBlue of Save-a-Life Cat Adoptions in conjunctio­n with Community Effort Animal Rescue and High Desert Animal Hospital. Ventura Treasures is raising awareness for animals in the Antelope Valley.

The Save-a-Life Cat Ranch is a tree filled 10 acre rescue ranch for cats located just a few miles north of the Feline Compound in Rosamond. Community Effort Animal Rescue is located in Pearblosso­m and features dogs and cats, and it’s Creekside location in Littlerock features horses. Adoptions are available, and donations to help the animals are graciously accepted.

Ventura Treasures features antiques and vintage everything, including jewelry, ceramics, dolls, dishes, crystal, lamps, furniture, books, trains, records, and quality clothing. You can’t miss the big turquoise sign and orange sandwich boards as you drive down Avenue L. The light green warehouse is just two blocks east of the 14 Freeway and was formerly “Ben’s Corner.”

This vintage store is packed with collectibl­es of all kinds. Imagine finding that perfect addition for your house, that perfect book, that perfect dress for your next night out, that perfect ceramic crystal or vintage record to impress your guests, Whatever your heart desires, you will surely find it within the clutter of 5,000 square feet of shelves and cabinets . . . and it’s all to help the animals.
