County food surplus distributi­on

Low-income residents of San Joaquin County will be able to obtain free government-surplus food today in the following locations:

• Lodi — from 8:30 to 11 a.m. at the Lodi Community Center, 415 Sacramento St., for those living in zip codes 95240, 95241, 95242, 95220, and 95632.

• Lockeford — from 9 a.m. to noon at Adventist Community Service, 19990 Elliott Road, for those living in zip codes 95227, 95237, 95253 and 95254

• Woodbridge — from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, 673 Woodbridge Road, for those living in zip code 95258

• Thornton — from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at New Hope School, 26675 N. Sacramento Blvd., for those living in zip code 95686.

Those participat­ing must bring proof of address (e.g. utility bill) and a grocery bag to help with distributi­on.

AAUW Bunco to raise funds for scholarshi­ps

Lodi Branch AAUW (American Associatio­n of University Women) will host its sixth annual Bunco Party on March 11 at Vinewood Community Church from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

The party will feature Bunco, prizes, vendors, desserts and gift basket raffle.

Tickets are $20 and may be purchased from any AAUW member prior to the event.

Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Vinewood Community Church is located at 1900 W. Vine Street in Lodi.

Proceeds will fund scholarshi­ps both for Tech Trek (The AAUW Summer Science and Math Camp), and for Lodi Unified School District graduating Senior girls who are pursuing higher education.

Craftastic Hour at the Lodi Public Library

Visit the Lodi Public Library this Saturday from 11 a.m. to noon for a “Craftastic Hour” with opportunit­ies for teens and adults ages 13 and older to make their own fun crafts with the supplies provided. The Lodi Public Library is located at 201 W. Locust St. Thursday
