Flames improve to 4-0 on the links

The Lodi High boys golf team improved to 4-0 on the season, as it knocked off Bear Creek 202-263 at The Reserve Park at Spanos Park in Stockton.

Leading the way for the Flames on the par-37 course was Tyler Rowlands and Jack LeBaron, both of whom carded a 37 each. Justin Gums followed at 40, Dean Ky 41 and Even Seibly 47.

On Monday, the Flames defeated Vista del Lago 204-210 on the par-37 Lake Course at Woodbridge Golf and Country Club.

Gums led Lodi with a 2-under 35, Rowlands carded a 41, Ky had a 42 and LeBaron and Seibly each had a 43.

Victor Nateras pitched a complete game in Tuesday’s victory for Tokay (3-0) at Zupo Field, with one run on three hits allowed with five strikeouts.

At the plate, Jaden Swanson went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Diego Ramirez went 2for-3 with a double and an RBI, Dylan Mahurin went 2for-3 with an RBI, Ryan Lew had a double and two runs and Joseph Heryford had a single. Frosh-soph

Devin Olsen accounted for two of the Tigers’ hits, going 2-for-2 with a double, walk and an RBI. Alberto Magallanes and Harrison Kurkjian singled. Freshmen

Colby Baker, Nolan O’Donnel and James Haynes had singles for the Tigers in Tuesday’s loss. Kyle Shannon and O’Donnell drove in Tokay’s two runs.
