Mexican American Hall of Fame accepting nominations
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY — The Mexican American Hall of Fame (MAHF) is seeking nominations for this year’s 2017 Hall of Fame.
The Mexican American Hall of Fame commemorates role models that will inspire the youth and other community members towards community engagement. There are 15 categories for nominations which include business, civil rights, community service, education, humanitarian, labor, law and justice, military, performing/fine arts, politics, religion, science and health, sports and women’s issues.
This year MAHF has added Volunteer of the Year Award category. This award is a testimonial and acknowledgement of the dedication of giving valuable time in the service of others.
To submit a nomination, fill out a nomination form along with documents providing biographical information, education, experience, contributions and a statement reflecting the nominee’s philosophy and vision of Hispanic Americans. She or he must be a resident of San Joaquin County with a proven record of the stated category and a minimum of ten years of community service. Applications may be requested and submitted via email at mexhalloffame@gmail.com. The application deadline is Friday, March 31.
