SACRAMENTO — A wild ramming of cars by a sportutility vehicle driver at a Natomas gas station and convenience store last weekend shook up a store clerk and patrons.

Security video captures a driver ramming into cars parked in the lot or at pumps at the Arco station, 3501 Northgate Blvd., about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. A motorist is plowed into as she sat in her car and others fled as the driver continued crashing into vehicles for no apparent reason.

Store clerk Dinesh Tandel was at the station when the female driver began her lowspeed onslaught.

“She tried to kill people,” Tandel said. “They need to get her.”

The SUV first hits a white car parked with a woman driver inside. Then the SUV driver backs into a red car parked in front of the convenience store.

Not done, the reckless driver clips an SUV at the pump before hitting the first car once again when that driver tries to get out of the gas station parking lot. Finally, the wild driver plows into the SUV at the pump as two of three people in the vehicle flee.

An older woman was still inside the SUV at the pump when it was hit, Tandel said.

“She hit the vehicle at the pump and the white car hella hard,” Tandel said.

The rampaging motorist then drove away. Tandel called the police and they are investigating, he said.
